Using Triscribe to support antimicrobial stewardship
Antibiotics were the first use case for Triscribe. Today our analytics and AI are used as a lighthouse to support antimicrobial stewardship every day.
Antibiotics were the first use case for Triscribe. Today we have 8 sets of charts. I have listed the full set of charts below. All these charts also analyse antiviral medicines.
Antimicrobial stewardship use cases
Pharmacists, nurses, microbiologists and virologists use Triscribe charts every day:
Actionable daily insights based on predictive data. For example, active prescriptions of antibiotics in your hospital every morning.
Tracking and analysing trends in usage to support antimicrobial stewardship programmes. Triscribe allows analysis by ward, by medicine, by date and by patient demographics.
Triscribe normalises data three ways: DOTs, DDDs, per 100 bed days. Users can compare usage and identify patterns and exceptions more accurately and faster using these tools.
Comparing various measures between time periods allows users to see the impact of policy interventions. For example, this chart compares antibiotic prescription lengths after introducing a 5 day course policy.
Monitoring compliance with policy and practice.
Reviewing prescribing behaviour and learning from best practice. For example, looking at prescribing across a group of specialist consultants or comparing across different parts of the hospital.
One antimicrobial pharmacist summed up the value of Triscribe simply: “We could not get this information any other way.”
What’s next?
We are looking to build more and better capabilities that help make life easier for you and your team.
Which information would help you improve antimicrobial stewardship every day?
What trends and benchmarks would help you understand the big picture better?
How can data tools help teams collaborate better and learn from each other?
I would love to hear from you. Let me know what information you would like to see in your hospital. Or tell me which questions Triscribe could help you answer.

Reminder: We need your help
We love to receive feedback and ideas from everyone, not just our customers, so we have set up a couple of simple forms to capture your ideas. Anything you send us will be anonymous and we promise to use it to make Triscribe better for everyone.
It would be great if you completed our survey on how Triscribe can save you at least one hour per week. Here is the link.
What am I missing? Let me know how we can use bed occupancy and admissions data to help hospitals manage better by following this link.
Thanks to those of you who have already completed one or both surveys.
