Hospital medicines usage and predictions
Triscribe has added two simple new tables to help you track the usage of any medicine on any ward in your hospital.
Triscribe aims to save every user one hour every week. Our model depends on building analytics and AI that users want. This is the first in a series of posts describing new features we have added in response to user feedback.

Ward drug usage and prediction tables
Triscribe has added two simple new tables to help you track the usage of any medicine. More below or you can watch this short video to find out more.
Ward drug usage table
Simply shows the number of administrations of selected medicines on a selected ward or wards. Because this is Triscribe, the table shows actual doses given to real patients.
Example use case
A medicine safety pharmacist received a controlled drug alert from Adios. Central stores issued an unusually high quantity of pregabalin to a spinal ward. Hospitals list pregabalin as a controlled drug because it can treat opioid withdrawal.
Using Triscribe, the pharmacist could see the pregabalin actually given to patients on the ward within minutes. Comparing this with stock issues, they could see that patient treatment needs accounted for the higher than usual issues of pregabalin.
Usage prediction
Using prescription data, this table shows the predicted number of administrations of a medicine or a small group of medicines. Filters are used to select the drugs or choose the ward/ wards to focus on. You can also adjust the time range to show only doses due to be given today or up to four days in the future.
Example use case
An interesting use case might be to look at medicines where there is a prescribing risk is emerging. For example, topiramate which has been in the news recently.

Thanks to those of you who have already completed one or both surveys.
