Better data, consistent and complete every day
How Triscribe provides more value from your data than standard BI tools, for less cost and resource
People often ask me about Triscribe’s competition. I am not one of those people who sees business as some kind of war. I spend every day thinking about our product and our customers, not beating the other guy.
Do nothing or do it yourself?
Besides, focusing on named competitors misses the point. I learned long ago that the two biggest competitors any b2b service or product faces are “do nothing” and “do it yourself.”
Do nothing is obvious, DIY takes many forms. In the world of medicines analytics and AI, the most common is internal informatics teams building reports using well-established business reporting tools. The most common of these is inevitably MS Excel. Crystal Reports, PowerBI, Qlik and Tableau are also widely used.
Triscribe - a better alternative
These tools are sophisticated and of high quality. But for analytics and AI you need in your hospital every day, Triscribe is a better alternative. Cheaper, faster, more complete and consistent. Here’s why:
Triscribe provides a complete, consistent and comparable view of all your medicines data. We extract, organise and align data from any medicines system. That includes any and all EPMA systems and pharmacy stock systems. If asked, we could also align to data from other systems such as diagnoses or lab results. No other software works across all systems this way.
The Chief Pharmacist at one of our customer hospitals describes Triscribe as a “medicines data warehouse.” The big difference is you can have Triscribe with none of the enormous expense and waste of resources demanded by data warehouse projects. When someone tries to persuade you of the benefits of data lakes, remember you already have this data. So what spend time and money rebuilding it?
Availability. Triscribe data is up to date every day and available on any connected device. Any allowed individual in your hospital can have access. There are no per user licence fees or other restrictions. No-one needs a course to learn how to use their own data. How many current hospital information systems work this way?
We set up Triscribe for your needs. We keep building and expanding out analytics and AI in response to real clinical needs. Our system changes all the time. Its not delivered to a top-down design and a rigid set of requirements. If you want a change or spot an error, just tell us and we will do our best to fix it. (By the way, in the modern world everyone builsds software this way.)
Under the hood, we built Triscribe to work with hospital medicines systems like EPMA and pharmacy stock. This means its easy to set up (4-6 weeks maximum for a new hospital customer.) More important, Triscribe is easy to maintain. Not least because we do all the work! When your systems change or upgrade, Triscribe handles the change and keeps you up to date. When there is a dm+d update (which is every week), the same thing. Even when a Qlik dashboard or a Crystal report format is set up, you need people and money to update it every time the underlying data source changes. Triscribe avoids this expense and disruption.
This architecture means Triscribe is cheaper to get started, lower cost to keep running and much lower total cost of ownership. It also means Triscribe is faster and more responsive to use.
Less obvious, the core functions and calculations of Triscribe are the same within your hospital and across hospitals. This means benchmarking, sharing and learning within the NHS is much easier with Triscribe.
Working with your data
None of this makes a difference. Data alone solves nothing. What Triscribe does is equip clinicians with better tools. Triscribe saves 1-3 hours a week for every user. Our analytics and AI help you ask the right questions earlier and more accurately. Our job is to enable clinicians to do more of what they do best, provide excellent patient care.
